UCMDB Tip: Where to find UCMDB Client Applet Logs

Hello All,

Occasionally we' re getting questions regarding what UCMDB Client Applet Logs are and what they contain.  Here is some information about this that might be helpful.

Client Applet Logs could be found at %TEMP%\UcmdbLog\ directory on a client machine (where IE was opened). Please see below the logs' filenames and a short description of their content:

Log filenameDescription
all-errors.log Logs all the log errors from all other log files
applet-cacheStatistics.log Logs various information regarding internal applet cache mechanism
applet-tasks.log Logs all errors which occur in Tasks (a Task is a unit of code that runs in a separate thread, such as server calls, system I/O, etc.)
applet-errors.log Logs all errors that are caused within the applet (errors from the UI-Server will not be logged in this log file)
applet-memoryTracker.log Logs all applet JVM memory related events
applet-operations.log Logs all the Server Operations calls from the applet to the UCMDB server
applet-general.log Logs all log events from all other log files
applet-timeMeasure.log Logs load/unload time of the UCMDB client applet
applet-missing_resources.log Logs all incidents of the applet trying to access a missing resource (such as an image, property string, etc.)
