UCMDB10.10 integration to LDAP

Hi All,

From HP UCMDB Hardening Guide Ch.7 p.94:

"The LDAP server must reside on the same subnet as all the HP Universal CMDB servers"

My LDAP in test environment is on a different subnet and connection seems ok.

Does anyone know why the HP documentation requires LDAP on the same subnet?

Any consequences if it not on the same subnet?

Thanks

Re: UCMDB10.10 integration to LDAP

I have the same question. Our LDAP server is resided on same subnet with UCMDB server only, the probe server is on another subnet.  Then can we do LDAP mapping?

Re: UCMDB10.10 integration to LDAP

I searched on HP SSO, there is a KM mentioning that it's not a must.
