UD technical queries

Please let me know below features.

  • Service related topology diagram indicating the live and non live assets.

Can topology diagrams in UD differentiate live assets and non live assets(not in network) , may be same assets can be appear in different color.

  • Capture the port no. of each application server?

Can we capture the port numbers of each application servers, or ports which application is using?

  • How to indicate each server (Asset) running the respective services?

Can UD tell us what all services are running on a single Server and also can we get in diagrammatic manner?

thanks

Re: UD technical queries

Not specifically, it would have to be live in order to be discovered by UD in the first place. However, CI's that are no longer live will eventually be deleted by the aging mechanism. If you run discovery regularly (every ~24hrs), then every CI will have an attribute called "last access time". This is the attribute that the aging mechanism uses and it could be used as a grounds to determine Live & Non-Live systems.

Can we capture the port numbers of each application servers, or ports which application is using?

Yes.

Can UD tell us what all services are running on a single Server and also can we get in diagrammatic manner?

Yes, and this can be displayed in a topology diagram which maps application dependency.
