Universal CMDB requires that Java v1.8.0_157 or higher has been installed on your computer.

Hi,

Done new installation of UCMDB 2018.08, After login received popup with below message and unable to view the content. Installed JRE 1.8.0_181 (bth 64 and 32 bits)  and restarted the application. Updated environment variabled as well but still unable to view content post login. Any suggestion to fix this.

Error:

Universal CMDB requires that Java v1.8.0_157 or higher has been installed on your computer. Also, make sure that you have both 32-bit and 64-bit Java installed.

Verify the configured env variable by running in a new cmd window java -version and check the output.

Why not use UCMDB Local client?

Hi Subrat,

it appears that your browser doesn't recognize the java. The latest versions of Chrome and Firefox stopped supporting Java an year ago, MS Edge has never supported it. You should be using Internet Explorer and you should check the "Manage Add-ons" to see if java is recorded.

If it is, put the website into the trusted ones as well.

The easiest solution for you is to download the UCMDB Local Client from the main page of your UCMDB server: https://<ucmdb>:8443/. You have to just unzip the archive and click twice on the bat file.
