User account Create Time

Jump to solution

Audit is asking us if the "Create Time" for a user account on a system is when the account was created on the system or when UCMDB first see's it and creates it in the DB?

My answer is the later. I just need to verfiy this is correct.

Yes I also understand that we will discover it as soon as the discovery job is run. However, if the account was created in Build out and it enters production 60 days later, the account would have been created 60 days prior to discovery.

Thanks

Hello Roger,

Your answer is correct, the create time attribute gets its value when the discovery job creates the user CI.

I checked all the windows user CIs on one Windows server (that were created at different times by the OS)  and all have the same value for "Create Time" and "Created By" attributes that was when the job discovered them. (see screenshot).

Best Regards,

Juan
