Views and models details

Hi,

Please let me know where the view and models get stored. As per pdf other than CIs, resources get stored in URM file. Want to know the exact path of URM file and is there any relation of view and models with database??

If database gets corrupted, the views and models framework can be accessible from different setup???

Plz suggest.

Regards,

Nick

Re: Views and models details

Hi Nick,

With respect to your inquiry, please note both Views and Models reside within the UCMDB Database, therefore in the event the database gets corrupted, and there is not backup. Unfortunately, there is not way to access it from a different setup.

Let me know if you have any othe questions regarding this subject.

Re: Views and models details

Hi Nick,

Thanks for your reply.

You are referring to what HP Universal CMDB JMX Reference guide page 25 states:

The Unified Resource Manager (URM) is an XML-based repository for CMDB resources. A
resource is defined as all CMDB data other than CIs. Examples of resources include TQL queries,
views, users, and the class model, as well as discovery resources such as discovery scripts,
integration and discovery adapters, discovery jobs, and so on.
The URM can be accessed using the JMX console only. From the JMX console page, click
UCMDB:Service=URM Services to open the JMX page with the relevant methods.
For more information, see How to View Discovery Resource History in the HP Universal CMDB
Data Flow Management Guide

These are discovery resources. They are in the UCMDB database as well as URM files. Meaning these resources cannot be changed or altered by a user.

Hope this helps,
