Virtual Machine serial number

Jump to solution

On our servers that are created with VM Ware UCMDB is pulling a serial number that looks similiar to the one below. Can someone tell me how that number is determined on a virtual machine?

 VMWARE-56 4D 8D C2 D4 CD 64 6F-24 BF 4A 91 71 1B 83 7D

THe serial number is pulled from the HostSysteminfo  object. You can check details of that object
