application CI and installed software in ucmdb

we are planning to import logical application CI and installed software CI from an external cmdb source into UCMDB .

cmdb specialists , what CI type and class does application CI need to be modeled under CI type manager.
because there are installed software and then the logical applicatons. should these be modeled as business application or running software?also there is no CI type or class for installed software under configuration item in the tree view in CI type manager? any ideas?

Choosing Business CIs is totally up to the customer.

Installed software CIT is in UCMDB class model and could be found under Node Element. Check attached screen shot.
