Re: discovery of softwares

Hello,

Have the agents been deployed succesfully to all desktops/laptops?

Could you please go under DataFlow Probe Setup >Unversal Discovery Protocol and try to run "Check credential" for one of the devices where the issue exists. Can you connect to the device using UDA?

Kind regards,

Irina

Re: discovery of softwares

Hello Ankita,

Basically, if you go under Data Flow Probe Setup> Credentials> Universal Discovery Protocol, right click on the agent credential and select Check credential from the pop up menu, what do you see? The error you specified?

If yes, then it means that the Probe can not connect to the agent. Please check the following:

 - Is there a firewall between the Probe and the host where UD agent is installed?

- Could you please check whether the agent is running on the problematic host (please check that the agent process discagnt.exe is running in the Task Manager)

 - Check that the agent is listening on the port 2738 and there is no port conflict with other software (using the command netstat -ab)

Kind regards,

Irina

Re: discovery of softwares

Check discagnt.log file  to see what happened to it.

Also, you can try to start it manually using the command below and see whether it helps:

net start hpDiscAgent

Kind regards,

Irina
