how to remove links between Business app and nodes

Hi Team,

We have old apps which needs to be removed from the nodes. Whenever we run a report on node we shouldn’t see any older applications still associated with it. Completely remove all old apps with those nodes.

Is there a way to do this?

Thank you.

Regards

Mathew

Re: how to remove links between Business app and nodes

Hi Mathew ,

Assuming you have list of old application and has a valid relationship in HP uCMDB with Node CI types ,You could do this in Enrichment Manager.

Below is just a example there are many way to accomplish this.

Create a New Enrichment Manager

Select App and Node as elements

link them in the working pane --with managed relationship as link

calaculate how many are diaplyed --(it would bring all the application once --I know )

Then Edit Query node properties to have only Old Application list as displayed name ,You could use IN ignore case functionality with comma separated list of display names of your old application.

then again calculate the results in Query Mode.

Once you have confirmation for above steps Change the Query mode to Enrichment Mode then Right Click on Application CI in working pane select Delete option as enrichment action

You could do the same for relationships between them (--no need if you composition relationship)

Hope this helps you
