is this scenario permitted?

Jump to solution

If the customer has 20 networks with 1000 OS devices each that cannot be reached by a centralized UCMDB/UD server.

Can the customer purchase 20000 licenses of UCMDB/UD OS instances and install a UCMDB/UD server in each those networks and then send the results to a centriliced UCMD/UD instance.

From the licenses point of view is this scenario permitted?

Re: is this scenario permitted?

Hello Cingc,

Based on the document Software License and Configuration Guide seems that it should be permitted.

There is no license restriction to the number of UCMDB Server instances or the number of Data Flow Probes that may

be deployed in a customer environment for the purpose of implementing development, test, production,

high availability and/or disaster recovery platforms1.

However, I would recommend to consult with a Sales and UCMDB architect to confirm.

Best regards,

Juan Calderon
