modifiying Master.zsai file

Hello,

after running inventory discovery by scanner on one of the PCs, I got some software with license type "Unknown" instead of Commercial or Free. I checked the master.zsai file and it seems that there is either a rule or the software version identified with license type unknown.

How can I fix this? is there any way to modify master.zsai.

thank you

Re: modifiying Master.zsai file

Hi zzgh,

The master.zsai is not supposed to be modifed.  However, you can create your own User SAI file to recognize unknown software by Express Teaching in Software Library.

Re: modifiying Master.zsai file

Hello Kane,

the software are already defined in master.zsai but the license type is unknown. so even if I create another rule in a user sai for these software with license type commercial to contradict the master sai it's not working. It still gives me license type unknown.

thanks

Re: modifiying Master.zsai file

Hi zzgh,

It seems there are missing/wrong rules in the master.zsai, you can raise a case to our support team to do further investigation.

Re: modifiying Master.zsai file

Hi Kane,

I already did and it's taking time to resolve and they said that master.zsai file cannot be modified. But I thought to ask here if someone had the same issue and found any workaround for it.

Thanks,

zzgh

Re: modifiying Master.zsai file

Hello zzgh,

I reviewed about the Master.zsai in the Data Flow Management Guide <Chapter 14: Inventory Discovery and I found this important notes :

Note: These files are supplied in Content Packs by Hewlett-Packard and are not editable.
