uCMDB 9.03 CUP9 Import from Excel sample issue

Jump to solution

Hello Collegues!

The situation is as follows:

I have uCMDB with discovery wich has collected the Hosts CIs (Unix and Windows servers) from the customer infrastructure.

And now i have to import more then a hundred Business Aplication CIs. That is done with Export from Excel Sample job. Ci's of BusinessApps are created and that part is running normally.

The question is:

Is there a way to create relationships with the hosts that are allready in uCMDB? And what properties are to be filled in xls for that purpose?

P.S. This thread has been moved from Application Perf Mgmt (BAC / BSM) Support and News Forum to CMS and Discovery Support and News Forum. - Hp Forum Moderator

UCMDB9.03_Discover_IntegrationCP8.pdf (page 339) or the same manual for higher content pack can give you information about prerequisites and general guidelines.

Mainly you should create a xls file with structure described and appropriate format, place it on dataflow probe server and then run the job. There is also a sample file with several examples of CIs to import. It is provided with the Content Pack
