Can you have uCMDB and Discovery Probe running on production and a test server with the same license?

Hi,

uCMDB and BAC lics are usually associated to the IP address of the servers.

Depending on your arrangement with HP, sometimes they will only charge you for productions version and allow a certain limited amount of non-production licenses.

Normally licences are IP based and HP charge you only for Prod licence not for dev and test.
You can check with HP, they can issue yo separate licence for deb and test.

This is not correct. Neither uCMDB licenses nor BAC licenses are tied to server IPs.

As for non-production licenses for HP Software products, all of the products are divided into 3 classes.

Class 1 - non-production licenses are free at the capacity not to exceed production licenses capacity.

Class 2 - non-production licenses are not free, HP will charge for providing them.

Class 3 - non-production licenses are not available.

Both uCMDB and BAC (except for OMi module) are Class 1 products.
