uCMDB Sizing: formula to estimate number of CIs & Relations available?

Hi All,

is there any formula available to estimate the number of CIs & Relations for an environment to select the right DB (Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL)?

Something like:

"# of servers" + "# of network components" + "# of applications" = "# of components"

"# of components" x "# of CIs & Relations/component" = "estimation # CIs & Relations" to be used for rough sizing?

Cheers

Hi Martin,

Thank you for contacting us.

Based on the current situation that you mentioned, the best way to query UCMDB on this way is to use Java/WebServices API (you can find examples in development reference).

Please let us know if this works on your UCMDB versions.

Best regards,
