uCMDB Tip : Integration with ServiceNow fails with Exception "Unable to get SN API stub for table "

Why does the ServiceNow integration job fail with the below error logged in probe-error.log file if the mapping file is customized?

Exception: java.lang.Exception: [processCIs] [getStub] [getStub] Unable to get SN API stub for

            table <ip_address>

Solution : The mapping file ServiceNowSampleMapping.xml should exist in the below mentioned folder of Probe and Server machine:

          <drive>:\hp\UCMDB\DataFlowProbe\runtime\probeManager\discoveryConfigFiles\ServiceNowPushAdapter\mappings

          <drive>:\hp\UCMDB\UCMDBServer\runtime\fcmdb\CodeBase\ServiceNowPushAdapter

On the Probe server if the above mentioned folder is missing then the integration adapter may pick the Out of box default mapping file (ServiceNowSampleMapping.xml) and fail with the below given error since it is not able to find the customized mapping file.

"pushToServiceNow",

line 750, in DiscoveryMain

File "pushToServiceNow", line 512, in processCIs

Exception: java.lang.Exception: [processCIs] [getStub] [getStub] Unable to get SN API stub for

table <ip_address>

If ServiceNowSampleMapping.xml file is restored in the below mentioned folder and the sync job is run then the job should be able to push the CIs without any issues:

<drive>:\hp\UCMDB\DataFlowProbe\runtime\probeManager\discoveryConfigFiles\ServiceNowPushAdapter\mappings

Hi,

I know this is an old thread but I have the same problem and error. The edited mapping file exists in the correct locations on probe and server.

What else could be causing the issue ?
