uCMDB / UD CIT Mapping with SM / AM / BSM Best Practice and Probe Fine Tuning

Dears,

We are envolved in some projects that cotains BSM / ITSM / BSA families with the mentioned products and more.

We would like to have best practice regarding Class model matching and CIT mapping between uCMDB and other CMDBs in BSM / SM and AM.

For example:

* BSM 9.24 Class Model has many differences that uCMDB 10.11 Class Model, like VMware Topology, AD Topology...etc.

* Switches CIT push from uCMDB 10.11 (after pulling it from NNMi 9.xx) to SM, always returns some errors.

* We also need a fine tunding best practice or steps for tuning the Probe resources, settings and DB.

Can you support us in that? 🙂

Thanks you in advance.

Thank you for the provided links.

However what I meant here is the CIT mapping happening between UD and SM, UD and AM, UD and RTSM.

Also Probe finetuning is not documented in any of the provided documents.

Thank you.

Some toughts...

Regarding BSM <->UCMDB integration

BSM 9.23 contains RTSM (UCMDB) 9.05. When you're using adapter for UCMDB 9.X the difference in class models will be covered by the adapter code.

The integration only requires synced classes to be identical, in any case.

To clarify some terminology:

RTSM=ODB=UCMDB=UD from integration perspective.

Close Loop usecase has explanations covering general conectivity between AM -> UCMDB <->SM. All integrations could be tailored to cover almost all posible class model diffs.
