Re: ucmdb ci data population

UCMDB could read Excel files without Connect-It. Just FYI. Check chapter 8 of attached document.

Re: ucmdb ci data population

thanks , but we are checkign to see if connect-it is another option as there are ucmdb connectors also to integrate data easily where we can write scripts to populate data . So any thoughts which ucmdb connector xml or query can be used as destination?

Re: ucmdb ci data population

Another option for data population is to use the Generic Database Adapter (GDBA), see the hp_man_UCMDB10.10_Developer_Ref.pdf documentation.  This adapter uses xml file for mapping table and columns from external database source to UCMDB.

Re: ucmdb ci data population

yes, I  have used  adapters - custom and generic in ucmdb for other integrations. But for this requirement ,  we are were reviewing to see if we can use   hp connect-it UCMDB 9  target connector  if it was  available inCIT 9.20 or 9.50 ,as we already have an existing connect-it scenario  using ucmdb 8 java connector. Anyone here was able to use hp connect-it ucmdb xml or just ucmdb 9 connector as target connector successfully ? I  will probably post this in connect-it forums also
