Collect NNMI discovered switches and connect them to servers in UCMDB discovered by UD

Assuming NNMI is discovering switches and is replicating them to UCMDB, and UD is discovering servers, enable an integration that can build the Layer2 connections in UCMDB by connecting UD-discovered servers to NNMI-discovered switches

We would like to see this. Right now we are discovering Layer 2 connections using NNMi and Machines are discoverd by UD (and SIM and other sources). When we do a pull integration with NNMi we do receive the nodes with layer 2, but NNMi does not have the serialnumbers of the devices so UCMDB can not reconciliate the machines with double nodes as a result. I was wondering if we can push nodes to NNMi with serialnumber and then again pull NNMi information back to UCMDB with Layer2, but the NNMi integration from UCMDB can't push to NNMi. We want to connect systems and switches in the UCMDB.

Agreed .. No Serial number gets populated When ud is integarted to NNMi . Withot the serial number we are not able to reconcile the inventory .

This would be so helpful.... theres an older document (published in 2013... I'd love to see a CMDB-Specific update...) available here that discusses modelling layer 2 connections in BSM for service health and TBEC.  You can also see the value in addressing business impact
