Create documentation to compare the features between CMS-UI Query Designer and CM (UCMDB)

0 Votes

I would like to submit a request to create some documentation comparing the Policy Management features of the new CMS-UI Query Designer vs Configuration Manager (CM). As of 2019.05, UCMDB does not include CM in the installation and has been replaced by the CMS-UI Query Designer. I am curious if there are any major feature differences between the two components.

"This release of Configuration Management System does not include a new release for UCMDB Configuration Manager (CM), and it does not support CM version 2018.11 or any earlier version. For policy-related feature, you can leverage the new Policy Management capability introduced in the Query Designer module of CMS UI."

Configuration Manager (CM) and its Advanced Configuration Manager (ACM) licensing have reached End-Of-Life, and is no longer supported against any current release of CMS.  The last supported release of CMS and CM was CMS 2019.02.

With the release of CMS 2019.11 we documented how to accomplish key CM features using the policy and compliance features of CMS 2019.05 and later
