Fully enable Discovery Probe on Linux Platform

One of our biggest flaws is, that we are still dependent on the windows platform for UD Probe.

Can we find a way to eliminate this showstopper?

This is a VERY good idea.  So much so that we've already accepted it 🙂

This would be very useful for the containerized probe.

The biggest drawback on doing discovery over a Linux probe is when we use the NT based protocols like WMI, NTCMD or PowerShell.

Even with this drawback the probe could perfectly run the discovery jobs which use (to name a few):

  • SSH, UDA and telnet
  • SNMP
  • webservices or basic HTTP protocols
  • SQL
  • VIM
