View change report needs more flexibility

Hello,

The 'View change report' is quite weak, but it could be a very powerful tool. The main problem is that it is not flexible enough.

For example:

we are not flexible to control the fields which will appear in the report; the 'layout' TQL stuff does not work here, we can only include / exclude the CI types from history tracking, and it's too much.

we can not exclude the related CIs by class, there's only an option to filter by link name which does not seem to work and is the same for all reports. For example node gets many useless process updates along with useful hardware info, so for 1 useful line we get 100 useless and the whole report is useless.

we can't set any filter for related CI's, for example by name.

Please think about making that tool useful, so far it contains too much of garbage and can't be used. It will be really appreciated by many customers, I'm sure.

Dima

Voting for this one as it goes into the right direction.

Would like to add another topic on the change history report: A lot of customers are asking for the possibility to show with one klick the status of the infrastructure on a selected cutoff date in the past.

So not really the changes between back then an now but really the status at the point of a given timestamp (for auditin purposes e.g.).

As the change reports are already going into that direction, I'm adding this here.
