reconcillation of process CIs takes only process_name as reconcillation attribute

At present, process CIs takes only name as reocncillation attribtues for identification. We have seen many instances where system got huge number of processes with same name. These kind of CIs are causing perfomrnace issue at the reconcillation engine.  Many time it creates the identification map issue and also takes longer time while identification process.

As a workaround, we asked probe not to send process_createtime so that there wont be any change in the process CIs and hence probe will not send all the CIs.

We should have a option in global config file or parameter, where we can disable/enable so that we control the behavior and avoid such a probelm.

What CP are you using?

CP29 has a VERY complicated identification rule for the process CI, taking into account many many attributes and relationshipsincluding the root container (the host where the process is running) and the IP service endpoint services by the process.  Additonally, the process command line and processuser is used in the verification, along with the process name.

Perhaps you can drop the identification rule for the Process Ci into this forum along with the CP you're using, and we can see what's going on.
