Caliber Author

 

Added Ability to Resize the History Detail Dialog

 

You can now resize the History Detail dialogue box in order to expand to see more details or contract to hone in on specific areas of interest.

 

 

 

Ability to Update Hierarchy IDs Incrementally in Datamart

 

The Datamart -update option now incrementally updates the hierarchy IDs if there are any changes in the requirements tree.

 

 

Ability to Save Filters across All Projects

 

When in the Requirements Grid, you now have the ability to save any filters across all projects. A dialog appears asking if you want to save across all projects. Click Yes to save across all projects. Click No to keep the filter in the current project only.

 

Support for Microsoft Visual Studio 2017

 

Caliber Author now supports Microsoft Visual Studio 2017.

Increased Time before Being Logged out of Caliber Visualize

 

A Timeout field has been added to the Caliber Visualize Integration Configuration wizard on the Caliber Data Server Integration Configuration page. Type the number of minutes you would like a Caliber Visualize browser session to remain idle before Caliber Visualize terminates the session. When a sessions times out, login again to continue. The Caliber Visualize server must be restarted in order for timeout updates to take affect.

When clicking on an embedded object and using Edit Object from the menu, the requirement is locked to other users. If, however, doubleclicking on the same embedded object, Caliber Author does not lock the requirement. This issue has been fixed so that both result in a consistent lock

Caliber Author

 

Baseline Sign by Date Baselines now have a Sign by Date where you can choose a date to request the signatories sign the locked baseline. The date is included in the email sent to the signatories.

 

Registered Interests Available in Requirement Grid

Registered Interests are now viewable in the Requirement Grid. When setting criteria in the Requirement Grid Filter, select Registered Interest from the criteria list, choose an operator from the list, and choose a condition from the list.

 

Improved Filter Maintenance

Filter maintenance has been improved with the following:

  • The owner of the filter can organize their filters
  • The Delete button places the filter back into the flat list

 

Mapping for Parent Requirement Cascades to Child Requirements

Caliber Author now offers cascading hierarchy mapping. Click the Cascade icon in Mapping Description dialog box to map the selected requirement and all children. The description of the target requirement updates to the mapped requirement description.

 

Custom Tab Order

Caliber Author now allows you to change the order of custom tabs from the Custom Tabs dialog box.

 

Attachment with Link to Open Baseline from Caliber Author

Using Quality Center Publisher, an attachment is created that allows Caliber Author to open to the requirement that was pushed to Quality Center. The URI in the .crm file does now contains baseline information. If the Quality Center requirement is pushed from a baseline, the .crm file opens the respective baseline.

 

 

Caliber Review

 

Baseline Description Appears When Hovering Over Name

When hovering over a Baseline name, the Baseline description displays the first 500 characters of the description.

 

 

Caliber SDK

 

Caliber SDKAllows Accessto Caliber Review server URL

 

The Caliber SDK has a new method that allows access to the Caliber Review Server URL.

The following method is added to the Session class ofCaliber Java SDK:

Fetches the URL of the associated Caliber Review server defined in CaliberAdministrator. Returns the URL of the associated Caliber Review server defined in Caliber Administrator. Throws RemoteServerException if Caliber Data Server is unable to service this request.

Caliber Author

 

Filter Manager Shared View

 

Filter maintenance has been further improved with an additional Shared Filter tree view. The shared view can be created and modified by Administrator users only, and is read only to all other users. Set the Shared View in the Options dialog boxGeneral tab.

Note: Upgrade to Caliber Data Server 11.5.7 in order to properly use the Shared Filter tree.

 

Depending on the options set in the Options dialog box:

  • You must be the filter owner to organize filters. or
  • You must have Caliber or Project Administrative privileges to organize filters.

 

If choosing the User Defined View option in the Options dialog box, do not renameGlobal filters because this may unexpectedly impact the Shared view.

If choosing the Shared View option in the Options dialog box, the following changesare expected from the Filter Manager dialog:

 

  • Only Global filters display in the Available Filters list.
  • Global check box is disabled.
  • Newly created or duplicate filters are set to Global by default.

 

Filter names must be unique.

 

 

Selecting Filters from Hierarchy

 

You can now select a filter for the Requirement Grid from the Filter Manager, allowing you to search within the hierarchy or withing a flat list. Simply click the Browse button in the Filter dialog to open the Filter Manager.

 

Restore Deleted Requirements

Restoring deleted requirements is an easy drag-and-drop action. Open two instances of Caliber Author, open the Deleted View baseline in one and open the target baseline in another. Locate the requirement you want to restore and drag it from the Deleted View to the target baseline. A System Administrator must activate this feature by selecting Allow recovery of deleted requirements in the Caliber Administrator tool.

 

 

Caliber Data Server

Support for VisiBroker 8.5 SP3 Caliber Data Server now supports VisiBroker 8.5 SP3.

 

 

 

Caliber Review

 

New Icons to Indicate if a Baseline was Signed

If a user signs a baseline in Caliber Review and that user has two other baselines to sign, Caliber Review now indicates that a baseline has already been signed with a new icon.

Set Non-Explicit Fonts through Caliber Data Server Settings

 

You can now set non-explicit fonts for requirement descriptions from the Caliber Data Server Settings. This ensures that fonts are consistent among users. However, users can override the font by setting explicit fonts from within Caliber Author. If you do not set the default non-explicit font, the non-explicit font type will be determined by the browser font options of each user.

Improved copy and paste functionality with requirement mapping to synchronize the functionality with the Mapped Requirements option in the destination project.

Note: To avoid the issue, both Author and Data Server must be updated to 11.5.2. Using new Author with an old Server or vise versa may cause unexpected results with the functionality.

Fixed RPI 1104559: Unable to edit or view Team Foundation Server 2010 Work Item Properties

Team Foundation Server 2010 Work Items can now be edited or the properties can be viewed from the Delivery Status modify tab for a requirement.

Fixed RPI 1107486: Caliber Author Fails to List StarTeam Traceability Items after Upgrade to Windows 10

The upgrade to Windows 10 deletes necessary .NET features. Follow the instructions in the Technical Notes section to avoid this issue.

Fixed RPI 1107951: Caliber Author Crashes when Modifying a Deleted Requirement in the Requirement Grid

In rare cases, a requirement in the Requirement Grid list may have been deleted by another user after this list was generated. If the deleted requirement is modified via the Requirement Grid a warning dialog appears. Dismiss the dialog and refresh the Requirement Grid list.

Fixed RPI 1108078: Crmdiag Utility Usage

crmdiag command set has been reduced to only those relevant to the current version of Caliber.
