Caliber 2005 SP2: using SDK, how do we remove user entries from Framework Administrator?

Problem:

Caliber 2005 SP2: using SDK, how do we remove user entries from Framework Administrator?

Resolution:

  • Product Name: Caliber
  • Product Version: 2005 SP2
  • Product Component: SDK
  • Platform/OS Version: NA

Description:

When trying to retrieve a requirement using the Caliber SDK, it creates an entry (showing username) in the framework administrator, and even after running and exiting the program, the entry still shows in the framework administrator. How can the entry be removed?

The Visual Basic code used is as given below.

Dim objServerfact As CaliberServerFactory
Dim objServer As CaliberServer
Dim objSession As Session

objServerfact = New CaliberServerFactory
objServer = objServerfact.Create("test")
objSession = objServer.login("admin", "admin")

lblStatus.Caption = "Ready"
If lstProjectName.SelCount <> 1 Then
Call MsgBox("ONE Caliber project needs to be select!", vbOKOnly)
Else
cmdRun.Visible = False
lblStatus.Caption = "Please wait"

Call cleanWorkDataTable()
Call refreshLinks()
Call displayTree(objServerfact, objServer, objSession)
Call displayRequirements(objServerfact, objServer, objSession)

cmdRun.Visible = True
lblStatus.Caption = "Please wait"

Call RunAccessMacro()
lblStatus.Caption = "Completed"
End If

objServerfact = Nothing
objServer = Nothing
objSession = Nothing

Answer/Solution:

In order to remove the entry from the Framework Administrator, you need to add the objSession.logout() method at the end which will logout the users and remove the entries.
