Caliber LDAP & Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA) Configuration

Caliber LDAP & Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA) Configuration

Caliber Supports LDAP and IWA authentication (11.4.10 and above), however for both of these types of integrations to work together the Caliber LDAP configuration requires to be set up in a specific way.

  1. Server Side: The BaseDN requires to be set to the top of the LDAP Tree
  2. Server Side: The LDAP BindDN user requires to have permissions to search the entire LDAP forest.
This is required by the IWA search mechanism
  3. Client Side (Caliber Author): The User’s LDAP credentials require to be set as DOMAIN\sAMAccountName. The DOMAIN\sAMAccountName is required by the LDAP search mechanism. Caliber Author automatically removes the DOMAIN when using IWA

N.B. Server Side: This information is configured via the Caliber Data Server applet in the control panel. Client Side: This information is configured via the Caliber Administrator
