Caliber: Requirement Save Minor/Major Enhancement

Requirement Save Minor/Major Enhancement

This enhancement was introduced in Caliber 11.4.11. This allows a user to decide if a requirement change made is a major change or a minor change.

Configuration

This is configured at the project level in the Caliber Administrator by checking the “Requirement saves require Major/minor setting” check box.

Caliber Author Behavior

In Caliber Author when saving a requirement changes the option will be displayed either to save the requirement as a major change or a minor change.

Example 1. A change has been made to a requirement description and the user decides it is a major change. In this example the Version of the requirement will change from 1.1 to 2.0

Example 2. A change has been made to a requirement description and the user decides it is a minor change. In this example the Version of the requirement will change from 2.0 to 2.1

N.B. This is only dependent on saving the requirement and any requirement save can be made major or minor.
