CaliberRM 2005 DataMart Extractor6.5 - problems with successful extraction.

Problem:

CaliberRM 2005 DataMart Extractor6.5 - problems with successful extraction.

Resolution:

Product Name: CaliberRM
Product Version: 2005 SP2 and DataMart6.5
Example: Address Book
DataBase: MSSQL Server 2K with Sp3
Platform/OS Version: Win32

Problem Description:

With the default settings provided by the installer for the CaliberRM DataMart Extractor in the Windows register setting under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Borland\extractor\settings

DescriptionColumnSize = 4096
MultiSelectColumnSize = 128
MultiLineColumnSize = 2048
ValidationColumnSize = 512

You cannot perform a successful extraction of one of the most basic sample Borland projects, including only the smallest Requirement Option in the INI file i.e. only include Requirement Description, not including Discussions, traces or history.

Problem Resolution:

The solution is to modify default in the Windows register setting under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Borland\extractor\settings to following values.

DescriptionColumnSize = 2000
MultiSelectColumnSize = 128
MultiLineColumnSize = 200
ValidationColumnSize = 512

With these modifications the DataMart extractor works very well for the projects with all of the elements (description, discussions etc).
