Description:
In case of using Windows Server 2003 SP1 for Visual Studio / CaliberRM Team Foundation Server, Windows Firewall is turnd on by default.
The Team Foundation Server and SQL Server setup wizards will automatically add exceptions for required TCP ports to running instances of Windows Firewall. If Windows Firewall is not running, or if it is configured to not allow exceptions, exceptions will not be added. CaliberRM Server installation do not have above capability and it require to manually add exceptions for required TCP ports under Windows Firewall enabled environment.


Answer/Solution:
CaliberRM sever uses the following TCP ports:

Service or Application Context TCP Port
CaliberRM Server Port 20001
SQM Monitor Port 20000

In case of using non default ports, please verify them via CaliberRM Server Settings by [Start] | [Control Panel] | [CaliberRM], Global Properties tab page.

To add exceptions for above required TCP ports, [Start] | [Control Panel] | [Windows Firewall], Exceptions tab page, [Add Port...] button.
