Delete" key does not work in CaliberRM Requirement Description field

Resolution:

Problem:

When using the CaliberRM Client for Windows, the "Delete" key does not function while editing a Requirement description. This may have occurred suddenly after applying a Windows, Office, or Internet Explorer update.

Possible Cause:

This issue has been observed infrequently, but seems to stem from issues in the Microsoft XML libraries. These librarie files are leveraged by CaliberRM to provide the "rich-text" (HTML) Description display and edit functionality.

Solution:

Shut down the CaliberRM Client and then try manually registering the Microsoft XML libraries by executing each of the following commands from the Windows "Run" dialog:

regsvr32 msxml2.dll
regsvr32 msxml3.dll
regsvr32 msxml4.dll

You should get a report of successful registration after each command. If you do not, you will need to discuss this issue further with your local desktop support (IT) team, as these are Microsoft libraries used by numerous Microsoft products and maintained as a part of the Windows OS. These are not CaliberRM libraries, nor can Borland assist with any issues specific to them.

If all three libraries register correctly, open the CaliberRM Client and test the "Delete" key.
