Document Factory fails when using the $Commands to populate and format a document

Problem:

Document Factory fails when using the $Commands to populate and format a document

Resolution:

  • Product Name : CaliberRM 2005 SP2
  • Product Component : Document Factory
  • Platform/OS version : Windows

Description

Document Factory fails when using the $Commands to populate and format a document (see Commands section of CaliberRM User Guide)

For example, using a Word template / document with the filter, $FILTER{tag="ISSUE" AND status<>"Closed"}, the generated document contains no results, even though there were tags with "ISSUE" and status that is not closed.

Answer/Solution

Look for any User Defined Attributes with the same name as some fields in the CaliberRM project you"re using. Rename the UDAs so that it does not have the same name as the fields in your CaliberRM project.
