Depending on the size of your database, you might find Document Factory slow to complete if it is ran over multiple projects or across the entire database.

This article contains information on how to modify the registry. Please ensure you have adaquate knowledge of editing the registry before attempting to do so. Please also make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

To resolve this problem we can add a new registry value to the Caliber server. This registry key will change how CaliberRM runs the background database queries and therefore speed up the process used to build the final output Doc Factory report.

1. Open the registry on the server machine and navigate to: ‘HKLM\SOFTWARE\Borland\CaliberRM\10.0\Server‘
2. Create a new DWORD value named "RequirementQueryLevel"
3. Specify a Decimal value of 1 to limit server-side filters to the current project
4. A restart of the CaliberRM Server is required for the change to take effect
