Does the handle_timeout() shown in the SQM_Monitor Log indicate a problem with the server?

Resolution:

  • Product Name: Caliber RM
  • Product Version: 2005 R2
  • Product Component: SQM_Monitor
  • Platform/OS Version: All

In the SQM_Monitor Log provided with CaliberRM there is a constant log of handle_timeout(). The sqm_monitor is responsible for restarting the Caliber server if it shuts down unexepectedly for any reason.

The handle_timeout() is just a thread that is initialized every 5 seconds to check the status of the server.
