Question:

How To Manually Setup a Test Director Add-In For An Empty Database?

For blank database created using "dbmgr -new -empty >", the TestDirector add-in will not be automatically setup.

Answer:

To add the TestDirector add-in manually, please follow the following steps:-

Go to Framework Administrator and create a new project.

Go to "External Traceability" tab in the new project. (Please note the "TestDirector Tests" in the Disabled column is only a dummy and can"t be use for the integration.)

Click "New".

Enter "Quality Centre" or "Test Director 8.0" for the Vendor Name and "QCIntegrationAddin" for the Library Name. You can specify any icon file to represent the Test Director Add-in or you can add the default TestDirector icon. (C:\Inetpub\TDBIN\Apps\td.ico)

Modify the configuration as per your TestDirector configuration. Please refer to Caliber integration with TestDirector Guide. http://info.borland.com/techpubs/caliber_rm/downloads_en/IntegratingCaliberRMwithMercuryTestDirector.pdf

Click "OK" and put the add-in in the Enabled column.
