How can I prevent my server from executing the idle timeout?

How can I prevent my server from executing the idle timeout?

Problem:

How can I prevent my server from executing the idle timeout?

Resolution:

CaliberRM is designed to restart the CaliberRM server process after remaining idle for a set number of hours. This can be configured in the CaliberRM Server Control Panel Applet. The "Server Idle Timeout" can be set from 1 to 24 hours. Some customers may not want the server to restart. The easiest way to prevent this is to write a simple SDK program that will log in to the server on a regular basis.

By simply logging in and logging out, the idle time is reset and the CaliberRM Server will not be restarted.

The Java class attached (CaliberRMLogin) will log into a CaliberRM server every hour. This will prevent your server from restarting due to the Server Idle Timeout setting.

You are free to modify this sample code to fit your needs.
