How do I search the contents of a User Defined Attribute?

How do I search the contents of a User Defined Attribute?

Problem:

How do I search the contents of a User Defined Attribute?

Resolution:

  • Product Name: CaliberRM
  • Product Version: 2005R2SP1
  • Product Component: User Defined Attributes
  • Platform/OS Version: Windows XP

To do this you use the Requriements grid in Caliber, and apply a filter on the UDA for what you are searching for (e.g. UDA: Bug Number). You would run a requirement grid on the project and using the drop down menus, apply a filter that chooses the UDA Bug Number. After this apply a search for the contents, options include:

  • equals
  • does not equal
  • greater than
  • greater than or equal
  • less than
  • less than or equal
  • begins with
  • does not begin with
  • ends with
  • does not end with
  • contains
  • does not contain.

It is then possible to print a report on the returned values, if this is required.
