Is it possible to merge CaliberRM Databases?

  • Product Name: CaliberRM
  • Product Version: All
  • Platform/OS Version: All

Currently there is no method or tool to achieve this. At present CaliberRM uses dbmgr -backup command to backup databases and restore databases to a CaliberRM Server. This command uses the versant "vbackup" command. The "vbackup" command is not able to merge information from different databases. This is because "vbackup" will restore the database page by page and does not check the previous contents of the database i.e. vbackup -restore will overwrite an existing database completely.

The only tools available to move CaliberRM data between databases are the RM Import and RM Export tool. For more information on these tools search in the help for "Exporting data for import to another application"
