Is it possible to share Requirement Grid filters across different users?

Is it possible to share Requirement Grid filters across different users?

Problem:

Is it possible to share Requirement Grid filters across different users?

Resolution:

  • Product Name: CaliberRM
  • Product Version: 2008
  • Product Component: Requirement Grid
  • Platform/OS Version: All

In Caliber 2006 users had the ability to save Requirement Grid filters as .rgv files which could then be passed to another user and opened in their client.

In Caliber 2008, the filtering of the Requirement Grid, Traceability Matrix, and Search in Description was moved server side with saved filters being named and stored in the database itself. These filters were user specific and could not be saved to external files, or shared with other users.

In Caliber 2008 SP1 the functionality was introduced to allow the server side filters to be shared with other users via the selection of a Radio button at Filter creation or edit. Only the creator of the filter can permit it to be shared.
