Is it possible to use CaliberRM in an offline mode?

Is it possible to use CaliberRM in an offline mode?

Problem:

Is it possible to use CaliberRM in an offline mode?

Resolution:

  • Product name: CaliberRM
  • Product Version: 2006
  • Product component: Win32 client
  • Platform/OS version: All

Unlike DefineIT, it is not possible to use the CalibeRM client in an offline mode.

DefineIT does not have a server that it needs to be connected to. So with DefineIT you can checkout a license (from the license server) for an amount of time determined by your license configuration. You can then work with DefineIT without being connected to the License server.

The CaliberRMclient is designed to be used inconjunction withthe CaliberRM server. The CaliberRM server supplies the client with a license. The CaliberRM server does not have the ability to checkout data to the client. Therefore, the client needs to be connected to the Caliber server to access data.
