Is the StarTeam Requirements Publisher compatible with the Import Requirements (impreq) utility?

Is the StarTeam Requirements Publisher compatible with the Import Requirements (impreq) utility?

Problem:

Is the StarTeam Requirements Publisher compatible with the Import Requirements (impreq) utility?

Resolution:

  • Product Name: CaliberRM
  • Product Version: R2
  • Product Component: Integrations
  • Platform/OS Version: All

Description:

I am using the StarTeam Requirements Publisher to import requirements from CaliberRM to StarTeam. Any requirements that had been previously imported using the Import Requirements (impreq) utility are not updated, instead duplicate requirements are created.

Answer/Solution:

This is as designed. Please see the StarTeam Requirements Publisher release notes:

You cannot update StarTeam requirements (with the StarTeam Requirements Publisher) that were previously imported with the Import Requirements utility; you must either continue with the Import Requirements utility (which is available in past releases and available from Borland Code Central) or republish those requirements using the new utility.
