Migrating to new server results in error: Can"t load the plugin

Migrating to new server results in error: Can"t load the plugin

Problem:

Migrating to new server results in error: Can"t load the plugin

Resolution:

You are moving your CaliberRM server to a new server. CaliberRM was originally on the C drive but on the new server will be on E drive. The following error may occur when running a startdb from the command line.

E1: VSL_KEY_INVAL: Invalid Key with OS err #2 (No such file or directory)

E150: VSL_DL_OPENFAILED: Cannot open Library for loading [ oserr=`0" ]

E982: SL_CPI_CANNOTLOAD: Can"t load the plugin

E982: SL_CPI_CANNOTLOAD: Can"t load the plugin

E982: SL_CPI_CANNOTLOAD: Can"t load the plugin

E7034: UT_ER_SDA_INIT: Failed to initialize shared memory

Solution:

This may be caused by the path value set for the custom_be_plugins in your PROFILE.BE is incorrect. This can possibly occur if you copy over the original PROFILE.BE from the old server to the new server. To correct this do the following:

On the server go to Drive:\Borland\CaliberRMServer\Versant\DB\SQMDB

Open the PROFILE.BE in notepad or another text editor. If you scroll to the bottom of the file you will find custom_be_plugins and its path value. Update the path value to be compatible with the install path on the new drive.
