Problem with CaliberRM Rich Text Editor - Unable to delete a space

Problem:

Problem with CaliberRM Rich Text Editor - Unable to delete a space

Resolution:

  • Product Name: Caliber RM
  • Product Version: 2005
  • Product Component: Client
  • Platform/OS Version: Windows
  • JDK/Compiler Version: (remove this item if not applicable)

Description:

When the user deletes a space in a particular word or phrase in a text cut and paste from an html file, save changes does not become enabled and thus the change can not be saved unless another modification is made. Even after the modification is made and saved, the space still exists. Looking at the html source, it was found found that there was a font tag, not a space in that particular phrase. This causes the space to be not deleted. How to get this space to be deleted?

Answer/Solution:

This is a bug and CR 15795 was filed for this. This is under review by Engineering.
