Re-naming the Caliber ALM links for Quality center.

Re-naming the Caliber ALM links for Quality center.

In the event of your Quality Center host machine name changing you can update the links in Caliber to reflect the new server name. To rename the alm links for quality center in CaliberRM there are two methods:

The first method is to use the crmdiag database utility (available from Customer Support).  Using the following command:

crmdiag -rvo -ff SQMDB

This command will rename all the QC alm links in the database for all projects.

The second method is to use the QC Re-name tool developed by support which will allow you to rename QC alm links for specific projects.  To run the tool you will need JRE7 or higher installed.

The required fields for the application are:

Server name or ip address

Username for CaliberRM

Password for CaliberRM

ProjectID - you can get a list of your project id numbers by performing an export to access from CaliberRM client and only selecting to export the project table.

Old String - your old QC server

New String - your new QC server

Database - name of your CaliberRM database (i.e. SQMDB)

You will need to run this application on the Caliber Server machine.  Please contact Customer Support in order to get the correct version of this tool for your version of Caliber.
