Unlocking Quality Center Tests Exported from Caliber DefineIT

Resolution:

Description
When a test project is exported from Caliber DefineIT to Quality Center, the tests become "Locked" within Quality Center to where they cannot be modified or deleted.

Solution
Quality Center 9.0
1. Synchronize and Export test cases from Caliber DefineIT to Quality Center.
2. Close Caliber DefineIT.
3. Open and log into the Quality Center Site Administration and go to "Site Projects".
4. Expand the Project which was exported from DefineIT.
5. Navigate to and chose the "LOCK" table.
6. On the left panel, you should see a table with an entry representing the locked object.
7. In the SQL command line, run this SQL command to remove the lock:

DELETE FROM LOCKS WHERE LK_SESSION_ID=

The test cases can now be modified.

Quality Center 9.2
1. Synchronize and Export test cases from Caliber DefineIT to Quality Center.
2. Close Caliber DefineIT.
3. Open and log into the Quality Center Site Administration and go to "Site Connection".
4. Disconnect the connection from DefineIT, which has Client Type as "OTAClient"

The test cases can now be modified.
