Updating the Caliber Users LDAP credentials for Integrated Windows Authentication

This can be achieved using by using the custom utility  “UpdateIWACaliberUsers” (please contact support for this utility).  This utility updates the credentials of current Caliber users enabling them to use the LDAP and IWA integrations (11.4.10 and above), .

The application is a runnable jar file requiring the following parameters

LDAP URL:
This requires to be in the following format “ldap://microfocus.com:389”


LDAP Base DN:
The Base DN from which you require to search from e.g. DC=microfocus,DC=com


Principal Search DOMAIN\Username:
The LDAP BindDN user, this user requires to have permissions to search the entire LDAP forest

Principle Search LDAP password:
The LDAP BindDN user password


Caliber Server:
Hostname or IP address of the Caliber Server to update


Caliber Admin User:
Caliber administrator user, this user requires to have permissions to update all users


Caliber Admin password:
Caliber administrator password


Caliber Exclusion List:
A list of Caliber users that do not require LDAP & IWA set e.g. users that you wish to only use Caliber Authentication


Switch:
By default this would be “ALL”, meaning all users are updated. However if set this to a user’s ID, only that user will be updated. This is typically used for testing.

Launching Application

To launch the application, launch a command prompt and run the following command
java -jar C:\UpdateIWACaliberUsers.jar

At this point you will be prompted for the above parameters, please see example below

Once these are entered all the main user details are updated as well as the LDAP credentials for all users except for the users listed in the exclusion list
