What causes an SDK application to generate the error, "EXCEPTION_FLT_STACK_CHECK"?

Problem:

What causes an SDK application to generate the error, "EXCEPTION_FLT_STACK_CHECK"?

Resolution:

  • Product Name: CaliberRM
  • Product Version: 2008 SP1
  • Product Component: SDK

This can be due to an issue with Java 1.6, which the Caliber 10.x SDK uses. It can be resolved by passing the argument "-Xcheck:jni" to the JVM.

  1. Open the file "C:\Program Files\Borland\CaliberRM SDK 2008\lib\CaliberRMSDK100.ini"
  2. Add the line below

    [Java VM]
    Name=Sun1.6.0_02
    options=-Xcheck:jni
  3. Save the changes
  4. Run the SDK application

If the problem still persists please contact Technical Support.
