What causes the CaliberRM SQM_Monitor log to show handle_timeout() messages at five second intervals?

Resolution:

  • Product Name:CaliberRM
  • Product Version: 2005 - 2008 R2
  • Product Component: Server
  • Platform/OS Version: Windows

The SQM_Monitor process is responsible for restarting the Caliber Server if it shuts down unexpectedly. The handle_timeout() shown in the log is a thread which is initialized every 5 seconds to check the status of the Caliber Server and to act appropriately when the server has shutdown in this manner.

This log entry is informational and does not an indication of any error condition and can therefore be safely ignored.
