What causes the error, "caught com error 3088" in the Docfactory log?

  • Platform/OS Version: All

If DocFactory fails with the following entry in the DocFactory logs, when using a previously saved DocFactory database

06-19 17:17:52 SQL Query: SELECT.......
06-19 17:17:52 caught _com_error 3088

This error occurs because of a duplicate User Defined Attribute (UDA) name. Removing or renaming the duplicate UDA will resolve the issue.
