What causes the error, "index was outside the bounds of the array" when running Document Factory 2?

What causes the error, "index was outside the bounds of the array" when running Document Factory 2?

Problem:

What causes the error, "index was outside the bounds of the array" when running Document Factory 2?

Resolution:

  • Product Name: CaliberRM
  • Product Version: 2008 SP1
  • Product Component: Document Factory 2
  • Platform/OS Version: Windows XP, Windows 2000/2003 Server

This error will be generated when sorting with multiple fields on a requirement type that does not exist in the Project/Baseline being reporting on, e.g. when running the following template:

$BEGIN_SECTION

$FILTER{criteria_name: test}

$SORT{type,hierarchy}

>

$END_SECTION

If "test" is a server side filter, which points to a requirement type that does not exist in the Project/Baseline then the error will be thrown.

This issue has been resolved in 2008 SP1 Patch 5.
