When customer creates a new empty database the Star Team Integration is unavailable

Problem:

When customer creates a new empty database the Star Team Integration is unavailable

Resolution:

  • Product Name: Caliber RM
  • Product Version: 8.1.534.000 - CaliberRM 2005 R2 SP1
  • Product Component: Star Team Integration
  • Platform/OS Version: Windows XP Professional

Pre-requisites

IVQL Tool

This problem is due to a corruption in the database, namely within the ProjectIntegration_p table where the integration resides. The old corrupt integration needs to be removed and a new integration created.

First stop the database server (dbmgr -stop)

To find the Star Team Integration run this query within IVQL:

select vendor_name, library_name from ProjectIntegration_p where vendor_name = "StarTeam"

This should return the vendor_name and library_name from the Star Team Integration. If this is returned ok, we can then move on to deleting it.

To delete the Star Team Integration run this query within IVQL:

delete from ProjectIntegration_p where vendor_name = "StarTeam"

then "commit" to modify the database

Restart database server (dbmgr -start)

Open Framework Administrator, the Star Team integration should be gone.

Re-create the Integration. In the External Traceability tab in Framework Administrator, click the new button.

Vendor Name: StarTeam

Library Name: StarTeamAddin

Icon - (Star Team Icon is located in "C:\Program Files\Borland\StarTeam Cross-Platform Client 2005 R2\starteamcp.ico")

Then click on Modify beside Configuration, then the Import button in the next screen. Browse to the "StarTeamAddIn.INI" file in the directory: C:\Program Files\Borland\CaliberRM\CaliberRMST-Addin.
